At a certain point a growing business reaches a point where the easiest solutions are no longer the right solution. Outgrowing the tools that made the business so successful is both good and bad. Of course finding the right tools to switch over to is where it can be difficult, sometimes the right thing doesn't exist... yet.
For this particular project, the goal was to centralize the data, combining multiple spreadsheets that were previously tracked by different employees with different data. At the same time it was important to maintain the simplicity of a spreadsheet. Being able to tab through cells and change data right away was important.
In the end, a tool that accomplishes all of the above was delivered. Multiple access levels, data shared immediately with others, and all in a spreadsheet.
